История: Rev. Fr. Ljubomir Kupec founded the parish 2001 with services twice a year. In summer 2007 Fr. Cassian Sibley began monthly Liturgy and the parish was designated an English-language mission. In 2008 Hieromonk Aidan began serving in English and Slavonic. In Jan. 2011, location changed from a single-wide trailer to the current facility of 3600+ sq. feet. There are a children’s room, library, bookstore, kitchen, trapeza, and rectory. We are a friendly multi-ethnic parish rooted firmly in the Russian Orthodox tradition, with many children and a Sunday school.
Примечание: Holy Protection is a small but growing missionary parish of the Russian Church Abroad. Our parish is about one-third children. We serve a diverse group of Americans, including those of Russian, Western European, Ukrainian, Belorussian, Hispanic, and African origin, using mainly English language, but Slavonic and Spanish too. Our new church facility houses the church, bookstore, youth room, library, trapeza, kitchen, and rectory, with a spacious yard and plenty of parking. We warmly invite you to Holy Protection parish at the new church location just a few blocks north of the Austin line.
